Have got my first Intro on Sunday and we are a bit lacking in practice for the dressage!!!

He's going quite nicely, but keeps throwing his head up and going hollow in his trot-canter transition - any tips on how I can ride to prevent this?? Pretty please??

try leg yielding into the trans I was advised by a BD Judge to try this and got a 6 and 7. As it gets them more engaged from behind.

Hope it helps

That is good advice - also make sure you have a good firm contact and really squeeze up into it, I find that helps alot with my girl (who is a giraffe in disguise at times!).

Really keep hold of the outside rein, bend him round your inside rein and maybe a little squeeze on the inside rein if he begins to throw his head up
