do you always trot around left-hand bends when out on the roads?

coming back in the car today we nearly went into the back of 3 riders who were ambling along, they were in single file ,the one in front was grey and the other two were black cobs and they were in dark clothes with no HI_VIZ.

i know where they are from and at least one of them should know better

when i am out riding and negotiate this left-hand bend in the road i am very aware of the traffic and hope that there is a car behind me so that any one whizzing around the corner would go into said car and not me.if there is no car i trot on like mad.

oh and it was about 3pm in the sun and they blended into the hedge. also,OH was driving at about 15mph because we know the road.

i know other hho`ers have posted similar stories to this but it was a `missed a heartbeat` moment.

i tend to trot round most of the turns i have to do to give traffic plenty of time to see me if it was a bend to the left in the road and i was in single file i would be trotting as you never know how fast a car is going to go round the corner and no hi viz silly people i hack out with it on whether i need it or not

Have to say I don't start to trot as soon as I hit the bend but I am all ears for the slightest sound of a car . If i do hear one - then I'm off trotting to get a bit furthur onto the straight!!

I always try to 'time' it so I keep a car behind me on a sharp left bend, but failing that I would trot round it. Hacking out without hi-vis is just stupid IMO, there's no excuse for it any more. Most of the riders I see round my way are flourescent from head to toe
