Trotted Indie first time tonight...

Sorry, bit of a self indulgent post, I trotted Indie the first time tonight (my youngster i'm backing), it was great!! I had to be led around rather than being lunged because nobody really wants to lunge her for me (whilst I'm on board), but it was OK and we trotted twice on both reins. She did a few little bunny hops first trot, is this normal? All my thoughts of "ride through the bucks stuff" went out the window with me clinging on to the neckstrap and trying to persuade her to walk again, will remember to next time!!

Aww, well done! It's always nice having the 'first' try at everything with one you are backing- first trot, first canter, first jump etc, always makes me smile! My current youngster (backed last autumn) is doing his first prelim dressage tomorrow, eek! What are you going to do with Indie?
