trotted my ponio for the 1st time in months :)

rode my ponio in walk and trot yesterday last time we trotted (weeks and weeks ago) he bucked everytime he was asked for trot...he even broke a sweat...he never breaks a sweat..soo proud of us both
will get pics today, he is very fluffy atm so please excuse lol x

Hi sorry I don't know the back ground on why you only walk but it is likely that the bucking was from excitement ! could you try trotting him in hand or lunging to get that initial buzz out of him ???

ive only just got back on him on monday...i came off him twice an lost a lot of confidence with him..he is only 3 an think he just needed time to mature. he had a few weeks off, went to stay at a friends for a week. came back an started lunging, did this for 2 weeks and then i got back on him on monday, and yesterday we had our first trot. He has chilled out a lot lately, we have no more spooking, but i think because i have been more relaxed with him he is more relaxed.
