Trotting on lunge

Tips pls for a lazy horse who isn't bothered at all by whip being waved around behind him even if he gets a tap with it. Bear in mind i've just got him over bolting when lunged so i don't want to be too strong with him ATM xx

Where are you standing whilst lunging him? - are you behind his eye line or in front of it? and how are you standing??

I find that if i am in front of the eye line my boy will just stop - try being slightly behind him and be as 'big' as you can with shoulders arms etc.

Also he has worked out almost exactly the point at which the whip cannot reach him anymore, maybe your horse has too!
