Trotting pole distances question

Numpty question:

can someone please tell me the distances for trotting poles and canter poles?

I can't find my Manual of Horsemanship and I am lost without it!

4' 6" trotting poles, 9' for ponies up to 12' for horses for canter poles.

for my 13.3 i do two of my normal paces for trotting poles and that makes him stretch and think about it. one and a half to make it easy for him.
