Hi All,
I currently have a problem with the yard that I stable to my two horses and would like some advice on how to confront it. The stables has 9 horses there overall (two of which are mine) and a manager that oversees everything but doesn't do a lot at all. He isn't the owner but rents it from the house that is also on the land.
The problem is that there is a couple that are stabling 6 horses here and they are treating the yard like a gypsy site. They have just bought two colts to the yard and are using up two of our paddocks for them which should be resting plus they also took one of our large paddocks for another two of her horses which meant that we don't have one field at rest at the moment. The colts should have been cut already because they are causing havoc but they have said that they have no plans to cut them yet. They wander around the yard with their horses, never put a head collar on them and they are all constantly hyping my two up before I ride. Neither of them ride any of the horses which means that I have nobody to ride with as well.
I will be moving mine to a new yard when the spaces become available but I have to address this problem now before it gets out of hand since it is not pleasurable to be up there with my horses at the moment.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I can approach this or what I can do to make them realise that it is not on to act like this with other people there. The manager will do nothing about it because they are paying 6 liveries.
Thank you in advance.
