More wonderful news; Yesterday, My Troy has been found; Only 4 weeks after leaving me, supposedly to go to a loving, companion `home`; he was sold by a dealer in in March, to a lady who paid £4,500 for him.
The sarcoid, one of his identifying marks, has been cut out-no stitches, supposedly having done it on wire!.

I really want to say a big THANYOU to all you guys out there, for all the support, and it was the power of the internet that found him.
A word of warning; Dont loan your horse, locally. Troy never even went to the location in Hailsham, that I had agreed for him to go to.

A message from his relieved owner

The woman who loaned Troy and Janie has been arrested and is on police bail, further details will be released when they are available. It's the same as if you buy a stolen car, it will be returned to the rightful owner, as they say "Buyer Beware"

congrats, that is great news. hope the police treat it very seriously.
fwiw, this is why i NEVER loan my horses out any more. i do a full money-back guarantee at any time instead... so, the horse is in effect on permanent 'trial', it's worked perfectly so far.

Like I said I'm so glad you got your horse back, and that the b'tards who sold him have been arrested, but I can't help but feel sorry for the people who have lost out on 4.5 grand, I suppose they will have to do a small claims on the people who sold the horse to them.

Lets hope the Police force dealing with these thefts take it more seriously than those dealing with the similar case of Tim, the Arab who was SoL. The perpetrator of that crime was give a caution!

If these unscrupulous immoral criminals are not punished severely, this sort of crime will just grow and grow, especially given the current financial situation.
