Our Border Terrier is almost six months old and has always been, shall we say a windy boy!! He smells something terrible, I know this maybe to much info but its very eggy. Is this the breed or is it his food. He was on Iams when he first came to us and has been on Eukanuba for a while and he still smells.
(good job we love him)

Any help would be gratefully recieved as he goes to work with my husband and he is stinking the shop out.

Agree with lml - most deffo not the breed.

Bear The Border rarely drops one, so to speak. He came home from his breeder with a bag of Royal Canin:eek:, which I didn't even open. He's been on Bosch since then, and he's thrived. :D

I'm sure the feed boffins will be along shortly to give you their opinions on Eukanuba. ;)

What's wrong with royal canin? Genuine question as our puppy is on that as that's what he was fed by his breeder but I'd like to look at other options

I'm a dog groomer - every dog I know that is fed Eukanuba stinks - its a sort of rotting cabbage smell - its vile!

Although not a BT, H smelt when fed Hills Natures Best (what he came on) then Burns and then Arden Grange (although this was better....). Since he's been on Fish4dogs, not so much as a whiff!!! :)

That it!! its really embarrasing,

I have been looking on here and nature diet puppy food seems to be a good choice, I want a good quaility food that is either wet or dry. He looks great on the Eukanuba he has a fantastic coat which is a really nice rich colour, just a shame about the smell.

Thank you for all your help, feeding a dog seems to be a minefield.

My BT is on Wainwrights wet food and he doesn't smell :D

He also gets James Wellbeloved Puppy Kibble that he is given in a treat ball when I go to work (although I may need to rethink this as he barks at it like crazy, but he does have a habit of doing that with new toys!)
