Does anyone know of a nice Highland pony for sale - preferably in the North of England but am willing to travel. I am looking for a forward going but safe established pony or youngster. Must be show quality. If anyone knows anything suitable, please would you PM me? Thanks :)

There is a place in Sussex who breed very nice highlands called 'Brownbread Highland centre' They are based at 'Brownbread horse rescue' and have the same phone number as the head of welfare for the charity who also has highland ponies which she breeds for showing and sells to RDA centres and other highland society people. They are in high demand as they have very good blood lines, they are also very involved with the highland pony society. It might be worth calling Dinty (the lady in charge) for some contacts or advice. I'm sure she could help you find something great.

Thank you both :) I have looked at the HPS website and am in contact with a couple of the sellers so I might get something, fingers crossed! If nothing comes of those leads I will try giving Dinty a call. The "chocolate" Highlands look stunning!

Have you tried Horsequest at all? That is where our Highland Pony Islay was advertised last year. There seems to be a few nice ones on there at the moment. Have a look on www.highlandponyenthusiasts.co.uk too, although there are no adverts on there, a lot of Highland breeders use their forum so may give you a few websites to look at too. Also if you google ''Horse Gossip'' that is another forum where many M&Ms are advertised and they usually have a few top class Highlands on there as well.

Can't access the HPS site just now but there is a Carlung pony for sale on there in Cumbria who will be well worth looking at.

Edit

Just in case anyone is wondering, I'm nothing to do with the seller.

If you are based in the North then I can give you a good contact in the Hipo world. She has found many nice ponies and often knows of some coming up for sale. PM me if interested.
