This is my 7 year old cob type, on his passport they put his breed as piebald which is obviously not a breed. Have had lots of people comment different things so wanted more opinions.
Thank you, I bought him as an underweight (light weight cob) he is definitely chunkier than planned but love him to pieces. His feather are what make me question as they are thin and sparse.
He’s a Gypsy Cob/Traditional (the same as mine). Not all of them are extravagantly feathered - in facts, lots of them have a similar amount of feather to your boy.
As said, a traditional cob. Some have more hair than others but also some with mega flashy hair have had that hair well looked after and groomed to perfection..fluffed out and (sometimes) the horse is never turned out so the hair won't break off etc. Sometimes the flashy photogenic horse is not always "natural" much like a poodle is never a poodle until it is groomed.
