Hi
I'm trying to find a loan (absolutely no luck at present)
Does anyone know of any websites I could be trying?

I think I'm checking them all out, preloved, horse mart, facebook, horsehunter, right horse, horse deals, ad horse etc etc....!

Based in the southwest! Thanks :-)

To be honest, ill be buying (or should i say donating) a second horse (life) in a year or two and am going down the charities / OTT then... As I want something that is not permanent - I don't want to mess them around if its not for life, as I know they take them back, but that's more if you can't afford them as opposed to wanting a year or two loan. I already have one, which is possibly going to be non-ridden due to lameness so wZnting short term loan now until I but later really! X

If you haven't done already, it's definitely worth putting out "wanted" ads on various websites. A year or so ago I was looking to loan a horse for a year (originally planning to go to uni so also wasn't after anything long-term) and put up a few wanted ads - I didn't think people really read them and didnt expect any responses but I had SO many - and still receive the odd response now and it was ages ago - the website just refuses to remove my ad. So definitely worth a try. X

Ditto this, it's how I found my loan horse, he found me :) was over a year ago and still had an phone call about a month ago... So remember to take it down when you find one :)

Oh that's brilliant.. I will do that now then. Thanks, I always wondered about those, but assumed no one would reply really and I ought to just look for something myself.

I am looking for 15.3 - 16.1 any breed, just something safe and sensible (esp traffic/ open fields) to have some fun on really! Though flatwork is my interest.

I'm looking now for something similar, although would also consider longer term if the right horse popped up- have you had any luck? If so, where?!
