I'm tring to find a sharer for my 15.3 safe & sensible horse. I've advertised on Newrider & the local tackshop. I've also previously adviterised on adtrader.com (freeads). I can't believe that no one's interested, especially at this time of year??!
I'm not really looking for much financially, just to muck out etc & ride.
I'd welcome any suggestions of other places to advertise or general comments.
He's a fantastic hack both on his own & in company and we have great hacking in both woodland and fields almost straight from the yard.

Where are all you people from??

there's NOTHING near me, not without a good trip down the motorway. Theres about 10 public yards within 15min of me at least but apparently none of them know of HHO.

I looked on pre-loved, and mag websites like this one, newrider.com, erm can't remember many others sorry but there are loads of horsey websites. Anywhere you can advertise loans, use them. I would assume there are other people looking for rides/shares on them and there are often people posting adverts saying they're looking.

Good luck!

What about your local riding club or pony club? They may know of someone whose horse is out of action/lame and would like to share a horse. Also if you have a local agri college that does equestrian studies then you may find someone there.

Good luck!

Thanks for your suggestions Hollycat. Will try word of mouth - the only trouble with the riding club is that it spans a wide area & most people want something close to them.
The nearest agri college is BCA - Berkshire College of Agriculture - this is about 10 miles / a good 20 minutes away, could be worth a try.

Its worth a try. My horse is currently on livery 12 miles away as its the best yard avaliable and when I lived in London it was a 40 minute commute to go out to see him! People will often commute for the right horse, so lots of luck!

Im having same problem, I think I might need to try the local tack shops etc as siad, online doesnt seem to do anything. Mind you it mght be because H is 17.2 not everyone is confident with that size.
