Can anyone help me in tracing this lady? She used to keep her pony at Boundary Road Stables in Taplow, Maidenhead. She would be about 30 now if my information is correct and has a child (maybe more - who knows?) I posted a subject yesterday about trying to find information on my daughters pony - 14 hand dun gelding freezemarked 13D1 - Stable Name Sam - show name - The Dun Thing. (now known as Hannington Samuel). Any information greatly appreciated!

The Dun Thing is quite a common name for a Dun I think. I am sure that if you google it you would get some names?

I really dont get why the very urgent interest in the horse? All horses have a past - though it is nice to know, I have always found the best thing to do is focus on the horse you have and what he is doing now, after all, that is the most important thing. What he has done in the past is fairly irrelivent...

Good luck with finding his history out though.

I'm normally quite good at using my detective skills so I'll see what I can come up with.
Have you tried the local riding clubs in the area that you think this person lives/lived? Do you have any local shows there where people on the committee might remember the pony or the people you are looking for?
Just an idea.

There is a dun thing on this page and the age does tally. I can't translate what it says and unless he was imported then there is little chance this is him, either that or he has a fan from abroad! Also I appreciate it may not look remotely the same colour but they do change an awful lot through the seasons.

I suspect that it is someone who imported this horse from Ireland and is trying to trace the history. There is a post here which I assume is the same person

There is a newforest pony called Rockingham the Dun thing but he is only 6 so it won't be that.
