Trying to trace my horse's breeding

I have just brought a 2 year old bay gelding belived to be a thoroughbred. The mare is called Quila foaled in 1997 and her sire is Unfouwain and dam is quest of fire. Quila is shipped out to germany and a foal called Quijano born is 2002 who is by Acatenango. She has been shipped back to england since then but as far the authoritise are aware she is still in germany. she was then taken to Cambridge horse sales, when John Dyer ran it. i'm trying to trace my 2 year olds sire so when he is old enough is can jump bsja age classes. I ther any one who could please tell me where to start looking ? thanks

Quila is still standing at Gestüt Fährhof. Her son Quijano was a successful racehorse.

It believed mum is a tb , so try http://www.pedigreequery.com/quila and all tb sites , also try googling name

she's back in england but the authorities have no record of that. she was then sold at an auction whilst in foal but know one knew she was in foal

Hm, but now she is clearly listed on Fährhof's website and even had a foal in Feb 2012 there. She is booked to Sharmadal for 2012. I would contact them.
