i am looking for a horse i used to own, i sold her in 2009 as a rising two year old, she is/was a stunning little mare

Photo0063.jpg

she was passported as rosie with the horse passport agency but i microchipped her as angel as this was what she answered to when i bought her

i have always wondered what happened to her as the lady i sold her to had her broken straight away and then sold her not long after

This is a problem when the new owners have not changed the ownership within the 30 days as is required by the Horse Passport Legislation which very few Trading Standards Officers will bother with. If the HPA had a record of a new owner they would not be able to tell you their name and address because of DEFRA's rules under the Data Protection Act.,

It is important that any micro-chipping number(s) you have for your horses are always recorded on the wwww.nedonline.co.uk database and that way if you loose the number you can always find it easily.
You could go to the micro-chipping database operators and ask them to search on the vet which implanted the microchip, the name of the owner of the horse that asked for the micro-chip to be implanted or the horses name at that time.
Here is a list of some of the Micro-chipping databases:
