I'm hosting a one day TTEAM workshop in Dalbeattie, South West Scotland on Saturday 12th May.

The Tellington Touch Equine Awareness Method (TTEAM) is a teaching method for horses that incorporates body work (TTOUCH), ground exercises and riding exercises to help improve co-ordination, balance, and athletic ability whilst deepening further communication and understanding between the horse and its owner/carer. TTEAM helps increase levels of self-confidence and self-control.
Developed by Linda Tellington-Jones, TTEAM is used widely in many countries across the world by Olympic dressage riders, pleasure riders, trainers, veterinarians, therapists and horse owners.
TTEAM techniques gently guide the horse through non-habitual exercises that can alter existing habitual patterns. As posture affects behaviour, many owners and carers note that unwanted behaviour diminishes as the horse's posture improves. TTEAM teaches the horse to act, rather than simply re-act.
At this workshop, you will learn how to assess your horse’s posture and movements and how they affect performance under saddle. By learning simple leading and ground exercises you can assist your horse to become more balanced, focused and willing to work. By using Ttouches on your horse you can help release tension patterns and help your horse remain relaxed and responsive under saddle.

Ali Middleton is a TTEAM Practitioner Level 1. Ali qualified as a TTEAM Practitioner in October 2003 and was awarded P1 status in May 2005. Ali teaches one-day clinics, organises TTEAM events in Scotland, gives talks and demonstrations, as well as working with individuals and their horses.

The cost for this one-day workshop is £50 per person with or without your own horse (including lunch and refreshments) and spectators are welcome to attend for £10 per person (including lunch and refreshments).

If you do bring your own horse to the workshop, why not take advantage of our wonderful situation and have a relaxing late afternoon ride through Dalbeattie Forest – we can even provide overnight accommodation for your horse in our new livery yard (for only £15) if you want to plan for a full day’s riding on Sunday 13th.
