there was an article in H&H about it a couple of weeks ago, a big eventer (cant remeber which one) uses it under x country boots for support and to prevent rubbing. I cant remember the total details about it. It was at the bottom of a page near the front in the newish feature when readers write in questions and H&H answer a couple on one page. Sorry im so fague............
Would that not put to much pressure on the leg and heat the leg too much

No it doesn't. Brilliant stuff, we always used it at three days under comp boots, adds more supports and stops any rubbing or anythng getting between the skin and the boot.
Also useful after when doubled up and filled with ice.

Got me thinking... does that mean it would be helpful if hunting? So you could wear boots and not worry about 'stuff' getting underneath and rubbing the skin? Instead it would rub between the tubigrip and the boot, or am I barking up the wrong tree?!
Stuff wouldnt get between the leg and tubigrip, but the tubigrip will act like a sponge and soak up any wet. That would mean a wet tubigrip against your horses leg, underneath the warmth of the boots, all day.
Better option is a pair of NEW max performance boots. Nothing gets up those boots, and they stay completely dry.
I've given up with most of my NEW boots. Got 3 pairs of the heavy duty jobs with the thick black fur lining for my two neddies and they won't stay up on either. Have tried sewing elastic inserts onto the velcro straps which helped a little initially..... but now they just fall down again!
Lucinda and Clayton Fredericks use tubigrip on their horses. I also use it for XC and sometimes for hunting as my horse is a bit of a moose and his boots slip
