Hi, I have a new little cob (literally had her a week) she is 5 but not had an easy life, she has already had 3 foals bless her.

The stables were only finished last night so for the first time they came in.

This morning I took her rug off to rearrange it and she is very tucked up, has the line along her belly. She is perfectly happy, is eating normally (she just has a small scoop of pasture nuts) and haylage, she is pooing and they are normal and she is drinking a good amount.

Could it be because she came in last night and got a bit anxious perhaps or could it be that she got a bit chilly?

Any one else experienced this?

Thanks x

Has she got company in near her that she can see? Do you know if she's been stabled before? Wormed up to date?

Just keep her on ad-lib hay and nothing too heavy on her gutt to digest and she'll pick up in no time.

Hi, thanks for the reply, yeah she has my old boy as company, they are out together and then the stables are at a 90 degree angle to each other so could touch noses if they really wanted to. Am hoping she will settle down, as i say everything else is normal. Thanks again, i'll just keep an eye on her x
