My warmblood has been well covered over the winter with minimal feeding but since he has been out 24/7 (past 3 weeks) he has lost quite a bit of weight. He is on no hardfeed now as I anticipated the grass coming through and he gets a bit 'happy' but he looks a bit tucked up to me. You cant see his ribs but they are very easily felt and his bum is well covered, his work has increased and I think that he looks leaner as he is getting fitter but the grass doesnt seem to be coming through like I thaught it would. He does not look thin as such, just abit tucked up. I am wondering if I should start back on hardfeed or just sit tight and wait for the grass. I will try and get some pics up. Any thaughts?

If there isn't much grass give him some hay. It won't be long before the grass will start, sunshine and showers guaranteed to give it a bump start soon.
