has anyone had experience with sinus blockage caused by a cancerous tumour. my horse has had sugery for this today and was wondering if the outcome has been favourable.
will depend if its malignant or benign, guess you'll have to wait for the biopsy results to find out. also depends how big it was and how much tissue was lost, there are several interconecting sinuses so loosing one is not a huge prob as the rest can function instead.

I thought all cancers were malignant.....
Tumours can be either but the malignant ones are cancerous???

all lumps are tumours, all tumours are cancer therefore all lumps are cancer. there's a common belief that tumours, lumps, masses, cancer etc are all different but they're one and the same. cancer can be malignant or benign.

Is the difference then that the malignant ones spread to other organs etc and that benign ones are self contained???
Just ask as brother had brain tumour (benign) but it didnt kill him till it went malignant and spread to his spinal cord
Nice to know the difference in case i ever need to know if to panic

yes, malignant tumours spread. some benign tumours can cause just as many problems if in a difficult place, btu in general malignant tumours are much worse.
