Ive been going through a bit of a nervy phase lately, manifest as me plodding round the school at snails pace with the horse practically falling asleep under me, not asking for go in case I get more go than I expect. Had a good lesson this week and I think I am starting to get a grip on it, and I think I could do with some good tunes to sing to help me set a decent pace while keeping me relaxed.
Do you nice people have some suggestions for suitable sing-along songs to use? Im aiming for a good active walk, and a nice wizzy trot (would like to be able to just let the horse go), and also before too long a nice rhythmic canter. Though any suggestions of songs that are particularly good for any speed/pace would be welcome! Preferably something I can hum under my breath in a group lesson or belt out at the top of my lungs in a private one singing is not my strong point, so dont want to scare fellow pupils, but I think it would take a lot more than my singing to scare the instructor!
(context Im an adult beginner, and this is all riding at a riding school, not my own horse or out in the open country or anything).
