The puppy is meant to "carry on the legacy" of a Mexican search dog that died after Turkey's quake.

If it’s true that a search dog died during the rescue attempts of ‘exhaustion’ then the handler should never be allowed near another dog. This is making me spit.

I guess saving human lives is more important.

If the search dog is dead it can’t save people. That’s the point. Stupidity of the highest order by all concerned. People did die because the dog died.

I wonder if he is making a point that the welfare of the dogs are out of the handlers hands and controlled from higher up and the the handlers themselves don't agree with the standards.
It seems an odd thing to point out if you are not trying to convey a message.
