Turn out after having hocks treated with steroids?

For those of you that don't know, I made a bit of a prat of myself with the vet on Tuesday when he treated Patches hocks.

As I'm desperate to not have to call him any time soon, I was wondering if any of you could help me with something? She had to have three days box rest, four days light work and then crack on as normal. Today was the first day of light work. (VERY Fruity hack that was a bundle of fun....but who knew Patches could do piaffe, passage and horizontal leg yield - meaning no forward movement, she just shot sideways across the road. The canter on the spot was good too! LOL)

However, I can't recall if she was allowed turnout in that four days of light work or not. Neither Duncan or I can remember what we did last time. Really do not want to have to call the vet.

Any ideas? I kept her in today anyway as the farrier was coming at lunchtime. Just not sure what to do between now and Tuesday.

Call him! (You know you want to..) If shes allowed to be ridden then I would assume turnout would be ok as long as she doesnt go crazy. I would like to get them out asap after box rest because the longer you leave it the higher the chances are of them going mad when you do turn them out. Check with your lovely vet first though!
 
She didn't have an original injury.

She's had her hocks treated as part of an ongoing management owing to changes showing on x-rays for the start of spavin back in February. Nothing has changed recently, infact she moves better than ever. Vet just recommended re-treating her before the insurance expired in January.
 
If the box rest was solely due to the injections in hocks then I think I am correct to say that she can be turned out after those three or four days.

I was only told to keep merly in for 3 days when he had his done. Just as well as had to sedalin him to stop him climbing out of the window!!!

I thought that was what we did last time, but just couldn't remember. Of course, it only occured to me that I had no idea if I should turn out after the close of business yesterday.

I'll call the office or one of the other vets on Monday, but didn't want to call my particular vet out of office hours. He might think I was stalking him.

She's pretty laid back normally, although riding today was an experience. Never laughed so much in my life. I have never known Patches to display any excitable behaviour EVER! Was great! Such fun.

I think there's an acre and a half left to strip graze. I want to open the fence up really and let them have it, but it's still growing. Even in November I'm worried about them getting TOO much grass.

Sounds mad doesn't it? They're normally in the winter fields of 14 acres now, not the summer paddocks!
