Morning all, looking to pick your brains! Im not even slightly serious about showing, but I am playing escort for the hack down to our local show for my sisters kids pony so thought I would enter something. I dont like not at least trying since the judge has turned out for the day, so have some questions about how we should be turned out. :)

Horse in question is below (why do I not have a side on pic without me on him!).

Edit: he is now minus the hairy legs! :)

So plaited, but tail as well?

In a bridle (brown?) but how do you attach the lead rein, to the nose band?

What do I wear?? I have got a car coming down with 'stuff' and water since its going to be scorching hot so I can get changed, but I dont own any tweed!

Thank you!!

You may not want to do everything to get the turnout correct but he should really be trimmed up, feathers off etc if you show him as a hunter with mane plaited, tail should be pulled but if not then plait it, have him clean to within an inch of his life.
Use your bridle with the normal reins over his head to lead him, no flash noseband.
You can wear a shirt and tie without a jacket if it is warm enough, a pair of trousers in a dark colour, sensible short boots/ shoes you can run in, a hat, tidy hair, gloves and you will be fine to go.

Thank you!

Dressage in the depths of winter when he lives out 24/7 is never going to be our best look. This was from this weekend when he does clean up nicely. :)

Plain browband as a 'hunter'? We normally have stressage bling on!

No bling at all for him!
