Sooo... Thinking about going to a mock hunt this weekend, and I want to ensure that the boy and I are turned out correctly, what with both of us being newbies. Now, having trawled various threads on here, I know what we should and shouldn't wear, but I remain bamboozled on one point...

HOW THE FECK DO YOU PUT ON A HAIRNET?!?!

Potentially a very stupid question, but I have tried numerous times and can't get it to look right, can't find anything on here on how to wear one, and Google just gives me advice on how to wear it the American way - which obviously is totally incorrect!

So, please help, I don't want to look like a Muppet!! Mushroom risotto, Cadbury's Roses and caramel ice cream to all!!

I'm going to presume you have at least shoulder length hair....

Low pony tail, and band it.

Twist 'tail' around base. Band it

Hair net over head & bun. Twist back over bun.

Bun net x 2 or 3

That keeps mine in a neat bun all day without it moving an inch.

I have my hair in a low ponytail with the tail folded in half (not pulled right the way through on the last turn of the band so the tail end is still in the band, if that makes sense!) I then put the hairnet over my head and round the folded ponytail, wrap any baggy bits of the net round the band of the ponytail and then put a scrunchie over the top.

ETA I have shoulder length hair.

Thank you both! Tried and tested, both methods appear to have produced the desired result so huzzah!

And yes CrazyMare, I do have (just longer than) shoulder length hair - I wan't trying to stick a net on over a 2" crop or anything!

Thanks again. :)

Any hints for what to do with my wild short/middling thick layered bob? At the moment I just yank the net over my hair and try to tame it best I can under either bowler/flat cap or velvet cap depending on which pack I am with, but could do with some ideas for the summer show season...
