I wonder if someone could help...I need to find a reliable, good all year turn out for a 6 year old gelding with unsoudness issues. I would like him to be out 24/7 and he is fab with any horse so might make a nice live out companion.
The horse has navicular disease in both front feet but is field sound at the moment. We need somewhere fairly local ( ideally near Reading,Berkshire or North side of London considered) so the gelding's owner can see him a couple of times a month and for field owner to do proper checks few times a day as well as to continue his treatment (he gets tildren and other drugs in regular intevals).

I would also be very happy for someone to "use" him as a companion for, perhaps, own injured horse on similar livery but have no luck fiding anywhere suitable :( Have seen a couple of potential places but had to decline as fields were very poorly maintained with barbed wire for fencing.

Any ideas appreciated, if you know of someone looking for a companion horse in the areas mentioned please drop me a message. Thank you!

Rent a field? Can't see anyone wanting to take on having to transport/sort out treating the horse tbh.
There's also a feature in H+H on retirment livery this week.

I didn't mean we are looking for a free service. Of course it would be on a retirment/grass livery basis. There would be no need for anyone to treat the horse for current problems as that would be done by our vet (which is why staying within the area is important).
I will have a look at the feature.
