Well . . . I've bitten the bullet and done it . . . he is now out overnight about four nights a week. While he's adjusting, I am bringing him in the night before he has to work particularly hard b/c he is so very tired, but I have been able to ditch the linseed and he's down to one hard feed a day on the days he is out b/c the grass is so good and he is now nice and covered
. Saving me a fortune in hay - not to mention not having to muck out so often.
He was so chilled yesterday morning that he was lying down when I went to bring him in - and didn't get up even when I sat down next to him
. That's the first time in 3+ years (since I bought him).
