I have a elderly horse with cushings which means he is at higher risk of laminitis. My paddock is 3 acres and her has been living on just one acre for last few months. The other 2 acres had very long lush grass which has now been cut. I would like my horse to have access to entire paddock in order he keeps fit over the winter. I have a couple of questions, can I turn him out after a couple of weeks or should I wait until winter has set in. Will the regrowth have higher or lower sugar levels during September/October?
Any advice would be great!
Thanks!
