I need two full neck turnouts, weatherbeeta or amigo? I have always had and loved weatherbeetas but just bought a lightweight amigo turnout and it fits really well.
One is for an older competition horse and one for my two year old who plays rough (they aren't out together) so youngster needs a very hard wearing one. They are both 3/4 breds and about 17 hands.
Thank you.

I am an amigo fan because they fit well, are reasonably priced and have a fillet string rather than leg straps. I do not like leg straps as I have had problems in the past with them rubbing. I have had a youngster go through virtually every size of them and not had problems. I used fal rugs before but was converted to amigo rugs because of the fit. I have never bought a weatherbeeta before but liked the look of them but the last time I looked they had leg straps which put me off.

It is very easy to take the leg straps off the Weatherbeeta and replace them with a fillet string. If you do go for the Amigo go for the 1200 rather than the 600 denier one.

It would also be worth looking at Premier Equine ugs.

My horse is an expert at destroying rugs, I bought a Weatherbeeta turnout which has lasted me the last two winters and I will be using it again this year. It only has a few tiny repairs on it, it is fantastic! I would definitely go for the Weatherbeeta for your youngster. Some of them can be a bit pricey but they definitely last.

Hope this helps :)

Thank you. I have ordered a weatherbeeta for destructakid and may well get an amigo for the sensible one.
I hate leg straps and take them off, then adapt one as a fillet string.
