Just a quick post. Ive got a 14.2 mare whose recently been diagnosed with cushings. She's 22. I turn her out most days in a field with a 26 year old mare and there's a fair bit of grass. The only thing is that her grazing will need to be limited now due to chances of lammy. But my mare couldn't give a sh** about going out! She is quite happy in her stable eating a haynet even if the barn is completely empty. Does anyone else have a horse like this, on my yard there's so many people whose horses love going out and stay out where as my mare is quite happy being out for about 4hours but then is ready to come in. Is she a strange one?

My girl is the same, she quite happy to stay in the comfort of her stable, she comes in every day to get her off the grass and she loves it she can have a really good sleep as well !! But we do have other horses who want to go out as soon as they are brought in, so like anything really they are all different in their little ways.

We've got horses who are buggers to catch if they don't think they've had long enough out and some live out 24/7. I can't imagine my girl ever doing that haha, she's ready to come in at 4pm! What breed is yours ebonyallen. Mines a 3/4 Arab and a poor doer so I was wondering if this had anything to do with it.
