Any suggestions for brands of over reach boots which are to be used for turnout which wont rub, and wont get saturated with sloppy mud. I have lovely Eskadron neoprene ones, which I ride in, but become saturated and heavy and have rubbed him when used for turnout.
Do the cheap rubber ones rub?

Also would like any suggestions for turnout boots which wont overheat the legs too much, wont stay saturated with sloppy mud, but do provide decent protection.

(The horse is a big gangly TB, so has sensitive skin, but acts the fool so needs to be booted for his own safety unfortunately. He's currently recovering from a bruised tendon after rearing up and landing on top of the wooden fence rails in his field)

I used to use the Sportabrac turnout socks on my last horse and they were fantastic. They fit snugly so don't think would cause rubbing issues. They fitted better and were easier to use than the more expensive Equilibrium wones. As for over reach boots, my boy has the neoprene ones for competing but the rubber ones with velcro on for turnout and they don't rub. Hope this helps.

My last two horses have been serial shoe removers and have both been turned out 24/7 with o/r boots on. I jsut use the pull on rubber ones one size too big and they have never rubbed. One was a full TB and no issues. Any with velcro closing etc just get full of mud and come off.

my horse has eggbar shoes and is awful for pulling them off,
am currently using shires rubber overreach boots with hardy chaps over the top. Fingers crossed this seems to be working, boots staying on and no rubbing though have only been trying this for a week.
