Anyone used these before? I know there are diff types but I found Shires ones in their catalogue (funnily enough) and was wondering whether to invest for next winter...are they any good? My horse is out all winter usually except if the weather is really bad-- he suffers from scabby legs etc if his legs are left alone...

hoping you can advise! XD

I personally do not like them as I have never found a pair that mud did not get up inside etc. I pre.fer to lather the legs with vaseline (going to try pig oil this winter)
They are always wet and yucky and dont always dry out over night, and I dont think you could leave them on 24/7 (although I may be wrong...)

I like the Sportabrac ones but only on during the day, not 24/7. My last boy suffered with mud fever badly, he had turnout socks on during the day (washed in the machine each evening so clean on each time) and thermatex wraps on at night in the stable to dry off any moisture. Worked a treat and kept the mud fever away.
