Horse just returned from the vets with minor tendon injury. Now facing box rest so all boredom bustom ideas welcome (he has very low sugar intolerance though!)...? When he returns to turnout I am looking to put him into turnout boots for better protection. Have always had him in brushing boots but post injury want to get some really good turnout boots. Any recommendations?

Also he has to have stable bandages on during box rest but have been looking at the stable boots and wondering if they are better for support and protection?

I know some people tie up swedes in replacement for say a likit boredom buster type thing, however think they are quite high in sugars...

My mare enjoyed swedes when she was on box rest. Only problem was she got so good at devouring them that it took me longer to get the string through the middle of it to hang it up than it took her to eat it!! Don't know about the sugar levels of it though.

I have premier equine turnout boots which seem ok so far, I have turned out in sports boots before and the turnout ones aren't as thick so don't get quite so hot which is my main concern about turning out in boots
