Turnout Boots

My horse is turned out with a kicker. I cant afford any vet bills. So I was wondering what boots I could put on her to cover her legs from injury whilst turned out and if possible could they be put on 24/7? The back boots are air cooled so they arent sweating like the front ones are.

When I turn out in boots, I use bog standard Woof Wear brushing boots. It is more for self inflicted injuries though.

TBH if your horse is gonna get kicked, turnout boots are unlikely to save her cos they're not that thick. However, if you want to go ahead then sportabac are reasonably priced.

QR Equichaps (hardy chaps) are pretty thick neoprene and cover from just below the knee to over the hoof. I think they're a bit cheaper than sportabacs too.

Not a fan of boots in fields. Worry that mud and the like will get under and cause probs, as well as the sweating thing.

Also hasn;t there been research about tendons getting stressed when they are too hot? Think how sweaty legs can get on a hack, and compare to have boots on all day.
