My vet thinks my horse would benefit from being turned out in boots so I'm looking for some recommendations please
He is mildly arthritic and vet thinks it would help him to have his legs kept warm whilst turned out, which is between about 8am and 3pm every day. Vet doesn't think he should have boots on whilst in the stable, just for turn out.
Can anyone suggest boots that will stay on in the field (my horse spends a reasonable amount of time cantering around and playing, so they will need to be pretty tough), not get soggy and stay that way, not rub his legs raw (and therefore give me a whole host of other problems to deal with), and not make him sweat? I don't need brushing boots or knee boots, it isn't for protection and neither of those types of boot would be in the right place to help. I have never turned out in boots, bar OR boots occasionally, and TBH am not convinced they are the best idea but as vet suggested it, I have to consider it at least. In fact, vet actually wants me to buy him magnetic boots but I am really not convinced about those!
Thanks
