I've had it with my looser fitting turnout hoods that attatch to the rug-she's a small Arab, tried pony and cob sizes but they always rub her mane off so can anyone recommend a Snuggy Hood type?
I'd go for a Snuggy Hood but I would never turn my horse out in something that goes over the eyes and I couldn't just cut it off as the zip goes the full length if the hood. not keen on the cheap lycra ones as they're not waterproof so..
anyone have any ideas or know of something inbetween theses two?
Thanks:)

Snuggy hoods are fine, they dont move, SAm has never had any problem with being blinded by the hood moving unlike the lycra ones that moved into his eye giving him a corneal ulcer and me a vet bill!!!

I bought a Snuggy Hood, the zip broke within 2 days! But I am having it fixed and will give it another go. I have bought a Wunderwear W'rap Hood though, which seems to be a really good design. It has 2 bits so you put it over the neck, then pull one bit up over the nose and another under the chin so there's no eye holes. Its hard to describe but I was pleased with the design of it. Its a US company (I had it sent to my family in the USA and brought back) but I would think they'd sell internationally. Failing that you can sometimes find them on the USA Ebay and a few sellers would send to the UK.

I second snuggy hoods!! Tried lots of cheaper ones, they all moved on the head, across edges of eyes etc. My snuggy hood never moves, I use it for turn-out all the time on my grey horse who loves mud!! Protects his mane and shoulders too.

Have just sent my snuggy hood back to be repaired as my boy took the front off it and ive only had it since xmas they are not as tough as the ri-dry !!

ri-dry? is that from a different brand?
i'm trying to find as many alternatives as i can because despite all the people who swear the face cover hasn't moved and the eye holes aren't a problem- i know i'll end up worrying about it slipping and my mare having an accident, she's a constant roller!
