My two horses are both living out 24/7, and definately one, if not both are going to get clips where half their heads and their necks are removed. I was wondering whether anyone knew of good, yet not expensive turnout hoods to prevent their heads and top of their necks getting wet and cold. One is a 13.2hh native, and the other is a 16.2hh warmblood.

Thanks very much!

snuggyhoods are the best but are a bit expensive.they dont go soggy and mine has no snags although my girly sometimes gets her head in the hedge.

i would rather invest in one of these that lasts than have to buy 2 cheaper ones that dont.

I was going to ask a similar question as I had thought of Snuggy hoods too as it might keep my horses fly away mane controlled. Any views on the ones with or without zips?

I have one with a zip as it's easier to put on, but if your horse is well behaved & not headshy, you could go for the pull on version. They will repair the zip should you need it replacing, of even add one to a pull on version.

Ok, thanks very much
