Turnout rug for Connemara

Can anyone recommend a good turnout rug for my 14.2 connie mare. She takes a 6 ft 3 rug as has quite a long back but they all seem too big around the shoulders and are rubbing her there. Alternatively have people found hoods under rugs that protect the shoulder region good? Thanks in advance...

I use weatherbeeta rugs on my chap and more recently been putting a suggy hood turnout hood on too. I find shires rugs fit him quite well too.

Horseware rugs are good for slim shouldered horses/ponies. The 1200d Amigos are good, but the Rhino and Rambo are excellent.

If you buy a Bossy's Bibs shoulder saver, that will help with stopping the current rugs rubbing.

My Connie wore a lot of Horseware / Amigo and they fitted him really well x

My Connie wears amigo's but make sure you get the 1200 dernier. The 600 are rubbish.

Amigo, weatherbeeta and derby house fit mine well. Masta and shires are far too big at the front for him though.

Mine has Amigo 1200D rugs (Bravo 12 I think). Weatherbeetas also fit OK but Premier Equine rugs hang below his knees.
