Turnout Rug Size

I need a new turnout rug for a 16 hh TBxID. Due to location - no tack shops for 35 mile...imagine that....I am looking to order online.

Now I have a complete inabilty to recall the rug sizes from one year to the next - my horses range from 16 - 17hh and I have a mental block with the size.

Can any one give me a guideline please?

I measure from the centre of their chest to their bum (right round to the middle) and this seems to be pretty accurate and is how the rug manufacturers suggest measureing. Mine came up 78 inches which was 6ft 6 rug and fits perfectly, Only got it yesterday. Good luck.
 
depends on how much Irish draft has come through. mines a id3/4 x tb but hes more id than anything else and has got a big chest hes a 6"9 turnout (remember to go up a size if you have a neck attachment) but only fal rugs fit his chest horseware are too narrow. hope this helps
