tweed/hacking jacket help! Calling all showing people!

Ok, so not really into showing, just do a handful of local shows in the summer for a bit of fun! So the otherday I drag my showjacket out the cupboard that I bought almost two years ago (but only used three times). Try it on ald although it fastens (just about!) it's a bit tight and the buttons are at risk of poping off one by one as soon as I breath out! Seeing I have my first show next week there was no way I can loose weight in time so decided to buy a cheap jacket that fitted for the first few shows which I can sell once I have lost enough weight to wear my lovely old one. So I ordered one off line for a very good price but worried now it's arrived that it's too green?! lol

One on the right is my lovely old one, one on the left is the new one. What do you think?

Also, I only have the tie that is on the old showjacket and a very pale yellowish shirt? What colour will I need for the new jacket?!

I really like the new one, it's very like mine so I would!! The tie you have and a yellow shirt should be fine!

It's a lovely jacket, where did you get it?

There both nice, providing you team them up with the correct color shirt/tie/stock and jodpurs/trousers, then you will look smart in either.

Good luck at your show!

The green is very nice - wear a red tie and cream or pale yellow shirt.

Ditto this, I wear a pale cream shirt and a faintly spotted red tie with my green tweed. That is a lovely jacket, I'm actually looking it up on the website now as it seems like a bargain and I am in dire need of a new jacket

ETS: Just tried to PM you with a question about the sizing but your PMs are full

I was just wondering how you found the sizing, as I am stuck between a size 10 and a size 12 and it will all depend on the sleeve and body length? Is it on the generous side or do they come up a bit short? Hope you don't mind me asking

Just buy a Prolite back support and do it up tight, amazing how much it nips in the waist, and wear the old one!

Actually I like both jackets, as long as you are coordinated with all your extras. Enjoy your show!

Those Sherwood Jackets are excellent value for money. I bought 2 for my daughters last year (but with plain collars) and they are beautifully cut, you would never know they are so inexpensive. The green one looks fabulous on.
