Hello,

Have just realised I am in desperate need of a new tweed jacket and was wondering if anyone could suggest any nice jackets and good websites to buy from.

Ideally I am after a nice green jacket under £100 if possible.

Thanks gem x

I love mine and it was £71

Should say that I didn't buy the size in the top pic as it was too big

I think I have the shires catalogue floating about the house somewhere so might dig it out.

Was just looking at your XC pics. Your boy has such a pop on him, wish I could jump like that, am very jealous

There are some v nice tweeds in the rideaway catalogue (am flicking through it at the mo). Have a look there.

I have a Mears jacket which is similar pattern to Laws and I love it (was more than £100 though unfortunately).

Do you do showing (hence the tweed?)

I forgot to say Mrs Candy sometimes have seconds which are generally stunning. I looked for a while before finally finding this was the nicest, best fit and in budget!

I got mine from Ebay. It didn't say much about it except that it was brand new with labels but it turned out to be 100% wool and Gorringe. Its a lovely fit too (or atleast was, I tried my Pikeur on last week and I seem to be shrinking). I paid about £40.

I am hoping to build my confidence up by doing a bit of showing as I had quite a nasty fall whilst jumping a while back and haven't competed since

I have a beautiful (well perhaps i'm a tad biased!) skewbald ISH so am hoping to enter some coloured classes in the summer and perhaps do some jumping once my confidence is back

Aww how lovely does Govley look

That photo was the last time we competed - Aug '06. How depressing. Hopefully we've improved!

I got a second hand Derby House jacket for £60 (was about 6 years ago now though) through the local free ads. I don't have any good close up pictures of but its a nice colour. You can get really good second hand jackets on ebay or your local ads for less than £100 I would try that first.
