Tweenie's been a great little pony. Not sure I'd like to sell her as she has her moments and I worry about how a new owner would perceive her or manage her "quirks".
I was talking about Tweenie to Duncan and a friend last night. She came from a riding school and it took a good 12 months of blood, sweat and tears (mainly Hannah's) to get Tweenie used to the idea of schooling on her own. She was so nappy as she was used to following. Even now, nearly three years later, she is still sharp and can be stubborn when schooled solo. She will dart, throw a little buck and turn in her attempts to cut across the track. (Although this is minimal and sometimes doesn't happen at all if you just lunge her for 15 mins first and get the excitement out of her) If you allow her to follow another horse she's a little darling and suitable for a total beginner!
So.....
Would it be such a bad thing to allow her to maybe follow Oliver, Hannah's new pony, in lessons to make her safer for Isobel whilst she's learning? I don't mean yet, as of course, Isobel will be on a lead rein for a while. Hannah could still ride Tweenie a couple of times a week and ride in open order to keep her "hand in" so to speak.
She's a lovely little pony, just a bit spirited at times. I say it's the Welsh in her, although many a time people have asked me if she's an Arab cross...it's the dished face! On the roads, she is 110% safe. Absolutely bombpoof. Makes Patches look nervous in comparison to her. She's worth her weight in gold just because of how she reacts on the road.
I don't take her to farm rides though as she does get VERY wound up and on her toes at them and just wants to run away over the horizon.
