I know there have been past threads, but making a new one as things change with time especially prices!
I'm considering sending a mare (or two) to Twemlows as one of the stallions I really want to use has just been there leaving a stock of frozen and is likely not doing chilled this season.
Anyone who has relatively recently sent their mare to Twemlows for AI by one of their Stallion AI stallions, can you please tell me your overall experience and if you don't mind, the total cost?

This page has a cost breakdown:

...but I am not sure if I'm calculating it right or missing anything. For those of you that sent a mare, what is the all-in cost, from when her hooves hit their facility, to when they leave it having been scanned in foal?

The veterinary care at Twemlows is excellent. I couriered a freshly collected chilled semen sample from there to be inseminated by my vets, and 10 months later took the mare back there to foal down. They saved the life of both mare and foal in a difficult foaling.

But they have a LOT of mares which are turned out in large groups, unless you pay extra for individual turnout. Scrapes and bumps from squabbles seem to be common.

I preferred the individual care and turnout for AI at my vet practice (not that far from Twemlows), who also do AI 'packages'.

I sent my mare there for two weeks, went up to visit her and she was not on site but in a village barn down the road in a tiny barn with other horses, she'd lost a horrendous amount of weight and had no access to water.
Obviously drove straight back with the box to collect her. 😭😭😭😭
