What is the water usually like at Twesledown (2)??

Thinking of entering mine proving Connor comes home Monday and is ok, but cant really go if there is 2 waters or if its real dark and spooky as he isnt great with water at the just yet!

I'd say it's quite good though not an expert! On sand so not very dark and in quite an open area with just a few trees around so not spooky. Quite well laid out in two square bits next to eachother, would have to do a sharp angle to jump both at once so I'd imagine you'd only do one, though I've never competed there, only schooled so don't know.

I'm sure i have a video somewhere with the water complex in... theres only the one water and like PaintedLucky said its in a open area so nice a bright, i think for PN theres a drop in then canter out and a skinny a few strides after. Not sure if its in the PN BUT there's also a hanging log 1-2 strides before a drop in which rides nicely aslong as you have enough oomph on the other side!

In the pn they usually have a log and then a few strides then a small drop in, then if they use the second water you just come out of the first then its jkust a couple of strides to the second water whic is just a trot trough then out the other side to a house or log pile thingy !!!

Im gutted as im on holiday for it ! but really wanted to do it !

Have you ever been to tweseldown?

Normallyh there's a turn to a little house and then just a ramp in and either step or ramp out. It's fairly inviting. You may get a little step in but tbh they normally provide an alternative then

Only been there once for a schooling day years ago.

Its one of the events I can go to but is a bit further so havent bothered before, but want to go as it has such good ground.

Do they usually ballot?

when I did twesldown 2 last yr there was no water !! it had all dried up

So, they basically used it as a bit of a sunken road. But would have thought it'll be similar, little house in... ramp down into what would have been the water.. ramp out and over another little house. Can be a little bit spooky as surrounded by trees so may cause some shadows but i've never known it to ride badly !
