Me and Twiz did our 1st ODE on Sunday at Filters Park Nr Oakham.
When we got there I went to walk the course while mum plaited up Twiz in the trailer. I only did the Novice (Be Intro)
She warmed up for dressage lovely. It was Be102 I think with the 10m loops in it.
It was very very windy when I was doing my dressage and there was fake flower in pot on every corner, which Twiz thought were going to eat her. We didnt do a bad test I scored 42 and I came away with 8 7s J and a few fours of my 10m loops which ended up being 3m opps!!.
On to show jumping. She warmed up well, jumping some fences huge but clamed down in the end. We had on stop at the 1st part of the double it was yellow with black circles on the front. She jumped me big over the fence before and I just wasnt ready. We came out of show jumping with 4 jumping faults and 18 time!!!!
The 1st fence was a log role top which she jumped fine wasnt silly or anything, then on to a hedge which had the speaker behind but she was fine., then a chair, which had no ground line she jumped it massive! Onto another log thing. Then to black pipes which were a double (see picture). Onto a drop hedge. Then onto another hedge (see picture). Then a ditch she jumped this huge I had to hold on to my martingale. Then some water and a step out we had a stop here. She was looking at her feet and was just sitting there, so instead of making her jump out from nothing I just came round again and she popped out lovely. Then a log on a drop. Then a log into a drop and out over another drop. Then up a hill over a brush, then two triangle things!!!
then over a hedge back into another field. And then another hedge and home. She was FAB I came home Xc with no time faults but 20 pens! We finished 15th out of 35 so not to bad really for our first go. There should be some SJ ones later.
