Two Mills Sports Horses/Mike Jones

I've only ever heard very good things. Sorry thats not very specific, but yes, really knows his stuff from what i've heard x

I think he has a good reputation in the area.

I got my young mare through Two Mills. She is nearly perfect.

They also had lots of nice horses within my price range to try. Very refreshing after LOTS of totally wasted journeys.

Thumbs up from me.

Have you got any pics?

They have a very nice coloured on at the mo. They all seem very reasonably priced.

Cronkmooar - have you seen something there you like?

Mike Jones is really nice..has a fantastic rep as a trainer and a dealer and rider. He would be totally straight with you and he wouldnt sell a horse not suitable for the rider...you couldnt really go wrong buying from Mike.

Is that to me?

If it is, I'm a computer idiot and can't do pics, but she might not be perfect to anyone else anyway. She's exactly what I wanted.

Mike Jones has a great reputation as others have said. I sent my mare for schooling while on holiday and was very impressed. Very professionally run yard.

Have they got a new webby? Used to have a lot of horses for sale in sections such as BSJA / RC etc but now they only seem to have a handful for sale ??
Anyone got the link ??

i'd recommend too...have been to mike for training a couple of times and he was really good. had some nice horses in and is straight talking- if he thinks horse won't suit then he will say- he cares about his reputation too much i think to sell something unsuitable. i always think he prices quite reasonably too. btw, i'm on his website!!

Mmmm ... I've only had one 2nd hand experience - but it wouldn't really support that comment. A 'hot', big moving Warmblood with a patchy history sold for a 14 year old girl - admittedly a good little jockey - but he was NOT the sort of horse I'd put a 14 year old on!! He came to me for schooling after some pretty nasty napping episodes (rearing, bucking etc.)and after a well respected BE trainer had told mother to 'get rid' before he killed daughter!

We got him 'sorted' with 8 weeks concentrated schooling and - with plenty of instruction - girl is now managing. I spoke to Jones about the horse and his excuse was that once a horse was sold he didn't take it out of the stable and that he'd told buyer to give it a day in the field before riding it!!

Yes I believe he does that, in case they get injured or something! I'd be picking it up pretty pronto!

Yep - I ws flabbergasted! I wouldn't take a horse I'd sold xc team-racing - but they still get worked and turned out as normal until collected! (And he wasn't the sort of horse who could have time off either!!)

hmmm...interesting to get another point of view janetgeorge...i'd say to OP perhaps best to go with "eyes open" then....
