Two of our horses did a runner this morning

Got a phone call from OH that he found two running up the main road - early hours of this morning. It is a quiet road but with bad bends and traffic that speeds.
He got them in. The man i rent the land off just sat in his tracter whilst they ran up the road.

The two that did a runner are the two that would not leave a herd. The one that was always doing a runner was in the field.
My mind is running overtime now.
We have been haveing hassle. Just before my OH rang, my daughter said she saw the suspect going down the lane next to our house to the travellers site. If she said it after i would have said she was mistaken but as she said it 15 mins before hubby rang my mind is in turmoil.
He has already been down there to ask them to do someone over who he was accuseing of attacking our horses. The travellers told me.
The supsicios man also got me in his shed the other week and totally frightened me over it all.
I am thinking he has done something
I have had a horse run over in the past. Although it was only the car written off it was terrifying for all concerned. Someone could have been killed - or the horses.
I know its only in my mind at the minute but i am suspecting foul play. Cedric would not go anywhere. If he got out he would try to get back in same for Ester. But they are the ones that would go with someone.
Pointless post sorry. Just ned to get it out as i can't talk with anyone about it.
Can't wait to move. I think i will see if i can move earlier. I cannot understand the thinkingbehind useing our horses as porns in two mens argument. Well its one of them useing them.
I am sooooooo upset.

That's awful! I can't believe someone would do that to you! When are you supposed to be moving to the new place? I hope you get to move sooner.
 
Oh hon - thats terrible... I hope that you can move soon and get your horses somewhere safe...

Is there anyway you could padlock the gates in the meantime to try and prevent this happening again?

We are supposed to be moveing end of Nov/begginning of Dec. The field is not ready and we have not finalised things yet. The field has barbed wire fenceing at present so we cannot make do with it.
I seem to get in the middle of arguments totally innocently. I moved the horses for 1 week but the field was in the middle of two waring men. I cannot understand useing innocent animals.
The list is endless what has happened. I don't react until the others are physically used.
The police are teating the attacks as an accident as they don't want to set the men off again - extremely violent - eventhough my daughter sqeezes a bullet out of one of the ponies be-hinds!
The horses are back in their original field but we have had furcklers their.
Its hard to find grazeing for 22 horses/ponies or else i would be gone never mind the 3 months notice.
 
I really don't understand the human race sometimes....people think I'm cold as I'm often rather concerned about animals than people but this kind of thing just shows you why! You need to teach one of your horses to kill!!! (just j/k)

The gates are paddlocked but hte land owner does emergancy places to get in. Trouble is other people can get in and with the suspect living up the road he knows about them.
I know it could be innocent and i should not suspect anything but he has done so much i can't help it.
I am trying to act casual over him going down the site. One of them will come up and tell me. The suspect rang the police before and told them loads of lies about the travellers - setting them up for if they had done the other man over!
Its awful being in the midle. If i repeated a lot of things locally there would be a war.

Exactly what I was going to say. I'm so sorry to hear this. Have you reported your suspicions to the police? I know with no evidence they won't do anything, but at least they are made aware then if anyone else rings them up.

Hope you can move asap.

The police know all about it but because the two men are so volatile and extremely agressive they are not interested.
They have both told me they are going to kill the other. At the minute i wish they would get on with it and leave our horses out of it.
The suspect knows the police are doing nothing - he was blameing the other man - so i thought he would lay off.
Not sure how long i can hold my temper now. I have tried doing things the right way.

I am on a mission to move, i don't care where at present.
I gave 3 months notice but as the landowner has not been nice i just may ignore it. He broke the contract so i have no bother in not keeping to it now.
