Two Way Radios for competitions

Can anyone reccomend a decent two way radio set and earpieces for use at competitions and in the warm-up?
I have been looking and found several websites which stock them but don't have any real experience with what features are best etc.
They used to advertise in BD but they are not in there anymore.
Any advice much appreciated
