Two weeks off...

....training class and:

My pup is skinny
My arms are too tense
I am letting him mug me for food (IE he is taking my bloody hand off and it is safer to throw it in his mouth )
I am letting him headbutt my crotch when he recalls (cute now, not so much when he is 12 months)
I move too much
I reward him too fast

...so, for all of those, including myself, for the last fortnight, who think they are doing things right, I shall repeat myself, a fresh pair of eyes ALWAYS helps

This is why I haven't had a riding lesson in about six years, I (ride like a sack of spuds) couldn't take the criticism.

You never stop learning and its good to get an outside perspective, even if it does make you wonder what you were spending your time on before.

It is brilliant to get feedback, even if it is blunt, lots of head-smacking DOH! moments today, if I could pay someone to follow me around constantly poking me with a stick saying 'you're doing that wrong!' we would be world-beaters in no time

He is knackered now, he was rough housing with my friend's Black Russian, she is twice his size and she put him on his back a few times even though she is a couple of months younger, that will teach him to be a brat...can hopefully start doing some more varied stuff now that teeth are bedding in.
